Rear bumper with tire carrier or no tire carrier?

Having had one, I vote without. Many will disagree.
Pros:
Better weight distribution (front to rear, not necessarily top to bottom)
No interior storage taken away
Looks nice
Cons:
Decreased departure angle
Decreased rear visibility (Irrelevent if you can't see out of the back window anyway, if say, your tire is inside and blocking the window).
Weigh those in your mind to come up with the answer that is best for you.
If i was going to do one, I like this style:

Departure angle reduction isn't so bad. Rear visibility non-existent.

Just not on the roof. Lol. I like the swing style carrier on the rear bumper, specially for space. Just depends on what type of wheeling you plan on doing.

It doesn't look like it changes the departure angle from the stock bumper

True, the rear bumper is pretty monstrous. Departure angle will also be determined by the size of tire that you eventually go with.

Why dont you just get a rear axel out of a Nismo Frontier? Locked and has gear options...

The only problem with goin a frontier rear it's sprung over while I am sprung under. I'm thinking of getting a rear from pro4x xterra if I can find one

Well Sir, you have access to the forum. I suggest you post up some possible dates you'd like to do it, and see what everyones schedule is. As far as lights, you mean some after market fogs with a switch? If so, should be pretty simple, been awhile since I've done some but nothing that can't be handled.

Same difference. So I'd figure out some future dates, post'em up and we'll see what we can work out.
