I spoke with Eric, y'all know him he was at the motor swap. He said the compressor needs to be jump stated basically, going around the safety bypass. Haven't had time to fiddle with it this week, ill shoot for next week since I'll be in Houston this weekend.

sniffing glue week next week. Dropping the trac off Monday to have the exhaust done, shooting for taking it Thursday to torch monkey on Thursday for the cross member and bumper.

Sweet. Gonna be a beast. Hard to believe that this is already the 5th SAS we've had in this small group.

Back from the exhaust fix, they ended up only having to unbolt and move it over a little and it has the clearance it needs now. Had a bit if smoking on when I brought it home, but seems to have burned off whatever it was. I'm guessing just junk that was burning off the pipes that got moved around, guess we'll see.

Right blinker is out, and the water gauge doesn't work, so Ill fiddle with those this weekend.

OK blinker issue fixed, simply just the bulb - one of the filaments was burned out. Now onto trying to figure out why the Water gauge doesn't read, going to hook up the tranny gauge and see if it at least works.

Found the new horn in a box, hooked it up and get a very faint beep out of it. Those of you that have played with it have seen the wiring issue with the horn from the old alarm system it use to have. So any ideas? Anyone got a wiring diagram they can post up that shows how the original should be so I can see if there is a way to put it back to OE to get it to work?

Side note - can not find my tranny gauge fail. Water gauge still not working, any thoughts?(This question is aimed at Kris and Russell as I'm not sure what wiring y'all did that might have affected it).

The only thing I can think is I forgot to connect the green plug to it in the dash.

OK So I bought some new bulbs, neither gauge lights up with the new bulbs. Followed the wires, no disruption in any of the wires that I can see. I found the tranny gauge, it's hooked up and works. Water gauge still doesn't work. Thoughts?

Ok well per kris he said there was a green connector under the knee panel under the dash that may have been left unplugged. Took it off, and it was. Plugged it in and nothing. Now the neither gauge works. Unplugged it and the tranny gauge didn't go back to working, and no lights either. Very frustrating.

Well the lights for the gauges don't work, but apparently the airbag light does. It just came on.

That would be cool, specially with the added weight to keep the rear down. Though for my application would look silly with just one spare lol.

After spending half the day on the Trac this is what I got accomplished:

1. Gauges - re-wired and new fuses - now both gauges work and lights work
2. Airbag light - caused by wiring issue with the gauges running off the a/c fuse - wiring blew fuse

What I didn't get accomlished

1. AC still doesn't work - attempted to bypass the safety switch for the compressor and load more freon = bust
2. Horn - cut wires, re wired, hooked horn directly up to battery and confirmed it works - but there is a power loss between the steering
wheel and horn - so I'll just be going redneck style with a autozone special horn

In the works:
1. CB - bought a new Uniden, going to install it in the glove box - but need an extension for the mouth piece so I can plug it into the existing plug that's in the dash (I'll check amazon)

Just ordered this:

This way I can install the CB in the center console, run the extension under the console to the port that was already installed in the dash by John for his older CB he had in there. This way I can have the Mic hanging out on the dash and it looks clean, and I don't have to drill any more holes into anything.
