Reapereviltwin's Dr. Jack

Postby reapereviltwin » Sun Feb 12, 2012 11:18 am

I aquired this rig in Albuquerque, NM in oct 2009. It orginally belonged to Dr. John "Jack" Lodell. After his death in 1999, it was "lost" thru different owners until it came up on CL. Thru the EF threads I was able to aquire it. Dr. Lodell was instrumental in the workings of the EF.

just after the motor and manuel transfer case installed

powertrain:
motor swapped (94 4.0)
d35 locked
rear locked
manual locking hubs
xfer case replaced with manuel case
cone air filter

Suspension:
3" body lift
4 Bilstein 5250 shocks on front (2 per side)
monroe 58617's rear
Aroura 33 12.5's MT's tires

Exterior:
Custom bumpers front and rear
Recon 10,500lb syn line winch
vice mounted to front bumper (comes in handy on the trail)
2 front bumper lights
3 roof lights
custom made covers for lights, winch, and vice
back up camera mounted to fuel tank bracket to give view of front wheels when needed when off road

Interior:
Recardo seats
rest on interior don't care, it's for off roading

In process:
drilled and slotted hubs
set of custom rock sliders waiting to be instlled
replace ARB air comprssor and sub-componets (the rig came with an ARB locker system, but the wiring and air lines have been spiced to no end, and are just giving me fits, so when possible gonna replace with a new system)
Too many more to list

What's left to do to get Dr. Jack back on the road to wheeling?

Basically just me to get off my ass and the items I got on hand installed. Plus I got work to do on the trailer for hauling. Had oddles off time while I was unemployed, but the ground never would dry out. ( I have to do all work in the front yard, and I refuse to work in the mud, I had enought of that crap pulling tanks out the mud in the army)

Well After getting into the motor, we spoke to mike and with everything like it is he feels we are better off replacing the motor. I will be picking up the motor that Justin has and installing it in the Dr jack
