Taking the black truck up to TAG today after work to have them finish the hydroboost setup, mount my light bar, and maybe the rear bumper. Also some other minor things.

A couple other options for the radiator:

That one's a little wider and would require custom mounts, but has two waterproof electric fans. The off-road versions have deeper fans as well as performance curved blades which pull more air for that high heat/low rpm stuff we like to do. Runs about $600.

Here's a cheaper version on ebay with an integrated electric 16" fan. Doubt it's waterproof.


Of course, if I'm going to think about an engine swap, I'll have to take into consideration the inlets/outlets of the new motor.

Super Duty MC is a bit larger than the two I had on previously, so he's having to cut out the driver's side shock hoop and re-do it. Yay!

Getting pretty cramped in there. Shimmed the Super Duty hydro boost up a few degrees so the master cylinder would clear the shock hoop. Ended up going with a Super Duty master cylinder. The pushrod still ended up being way too long. Cut it down with trial and error til it worked. Deglazed the brake pads and now everything seems good. Must have been a vacuum issue. Drove it around for a good half hour, no lockups.

Rear bumper underway. Going to cut out the stock rear crossmember now that the bumper is taking it's place. Adding some 1/2" clevis mounts and then the winch cradle behind there, with a hawse fair lead. Maybe a couple of pod led's will fit in there.

Me too. Must be a serious vacuum issue with the motor.

I'm also having them make 'rub rails' along the top edge of the truck, which will tie into the light bar mount. Kinda like sliders for the top edge.

Made an offer for $155 on the above radiator/fan combo, which was accepted. Now, who wants to tell me how to hook that fan up? :lol

I also ordered their silicone radiator hoses. Unfortunately I had to choose between blingy red or blingy blue, so blingy red it is. I'd have preferred blingy green, personally. :lol

Anyone think I should go ahead and replace the water pump while I'm in there? If so, any recommendations?
