Bad IAC??

Anyone ever diagnosed a bad one? I finished tuning up the explorer in hopes of a more consistent idle to make crawling easier and it idled good, once I plugged the MAS back in <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :rolleyes --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> , but it was idling low. I checked the other elec connections to make sure I didn't forget anything else and I had not plugged the IAC back in. When I did it idled just like before. like it has a huge cam in it. This leads me to think that I have a bad IAC. Any harm in running with it unplugged aside from the low idle? I can deal with that easily enough. Any idea what they cost? <p></p><i></i>

Have you cleaned the IAC, they do get really gummy sometimes, and have you checked TPS voltage?<br>Unplugging the IAC causes trouble codes but will not harm anything.<br>I may have an extra one laying around here too.<br>I'll check. <p></p><i></i>

At closed throttle between .89-.91 volts.<br><br>To reset the idle, unplud IAC start vehicle set idle set screw and shut vehicle off, check TPS voltage and plug in ICA and restart vehicle, it may take a min or two for it to readjust to the new settings. <p></p><i></i>
