Ok so the pistons are metric and none of the local auto parts houses carry the ring I'm guess I'm struck going to Ford.

Does anyone know if Total Seal makes rings for this engine?

Plus has anyone installed/used one of 4.0 Performance's Stage 1 cam kit?

Wish I could help you, but engines are definately not my strong suit. Does this mean that the SOHC swap is off?

Due to the fact that Doug explained to me about the HVAC box being in the way and looking at a 2nd gen V-8 and other SOHC HVAC boxes in later "X"s, and there not being compatible with the format, I have decided to rebuild the OHV motor insted.

We have to have our A/C and heat!

So in doing so, I'm looking to use Doug's Stage 1 kit and a few other things such as cleaning up the ports on the heads, intake, and exhaust manifolds, free flowing exhaust, and my snorkle, should net me another 40-50hp I hope, not that I ever complained about the lackluster performance of the 155hp OHV just a little extra on tap never hurt.

Sorry for the buzz kill, but HVAC is a must.
