There is a new movie coming out Nov. 22nd called The Fountain. It looks really neat.

It is kinda weird how hollywood (like the hollyweird thing) always puts out multi movies on the same theme almost instantly. Maybe only the same two people are producing them and just figure they can flood the market with whatever suits their mood.
As for the Mayan theme....already played out the Egyptians (The mummy...the mummy again...)and Greek/ Roman tragedies (Troy, King Author, Gladiator...) these past few years. Gotta move on a bit.
