A Wachowski remake of a 40 year old cartoon that only ran for one season.
Speed Racer has always been fun because it was so cheesy and tongue in cheek. Now take the Wachoski's effects budget (wisely spent with ILM), a talented cast having a great time, plenty of funny homages to the cartoon, some brilliant and beautful imagery, and you've got yourself a couple hours of visual bliss...
