Well I've watched and learned from Dorn about upgrading. So I'm going to follow suit and do a few upgrades.
Plans to do fairly soon:
- Fans - install two 52" fans - lowes has a good deal on some cheapos that will work fine
- In ceiling speakers - just ordered 2 sets
- TV - Maria wants Lilly's TV out of her room - so I've got an extra wall mount - going to hang a 40" LCD in the garage
- Apple TV - b/c I already have it and don't use it in the living room - will come in handy in the garage to the new TV - live streaming from the iPhone
- Shelf with receiver to hook up the speakers and TV/Apple TV - have an old sony were the center channel stopped working - gonna test/use it for this if I can
Future to do:
- Paint the walls a diff color
- Build some floor to wall shelfs on the right side of the garage for storage
- Paint the floor
- Long shelf for my shot glass collection (no longer allowed inside the house
- Put our refrigerator in the garage and get a new one for inside
Future as I go along:
- Stuff to hang on the walls

I was thinking of rolling with an Apple TV or Mac Mini in the garage as well. That way I can stream all of my itunes library from the other mac mini in the home theatre area. I need to source a decent cheap tv as well, since Lilly decided to give hers to you instead.

For the garage cheaper to do an apple tv. Specially as it has many other features besides the streaming of music, totally worth it for the $99 price tag. If I were to come across a cool cheap neon sign I wouldn't be opposed to picking one up

That would be true, but I have an extra Mac Mini that is seeing little use. I might put it in the bedroom though.

Well not really the same thing. I would have bought your mac mini had I known you had an extra before I bought the apple TV ( for a diff purpose at that time).

Indeed, we'll see how decent they sound in the garage, but then again doesn't have to be that great. Did get the TV out of Lilly's room this weekend since we were painting and flooring, so I'll play with that during the week if I have time on mounting it to the wall. I've decided since she has no TV no need for her outlet of the SAT to go to waste, so we'll move that to the garage and build a shelf under it to house the audio receiver and apple TV. Now that Randall doesn't have to assist with flooring, we'll turn the last weekend in Sept into the the garage update.

Well on a side note from the garage. The kids rooms and their hallway is now all tiled. I finished buttoning up Lilly's room last night putting all the sockets and what not back together, tonight is Seth's room, then this weekend move their furniture back in. YAY.

LOL @ Randall, wait we actually do. But I've already scheduled this for this saturday, as Maria and I are planning a trip to San Antonio to hang out on the riverwalk just the two of us the following weekend. You're welcome to come over this weekend
