Pork Boston Butt Roast - Recipes?

So I've never cooked roast like this. Got a pretty good deal on a 7lb Roast, and looking online there are ton of ways to do these. Since I don't have access to a smoker that's out.
So, consensus anyone cooked one in the oven is a roasting pan, if so how did you do it? Or have you done it in a crock pot, if so how? Finally, which if you've had both ways did you think was better and why?

When I think of large cuts of meat I immediately go slow cooking. You stated you are smokerless. That means I would focus on a oven roaster or crock pot. Now with pork I always tend to go more sweet then savory. Becky will make apples in a brown sugar sauce when we have pork chops. I would look for more sweet things to add to the pot. U could go Hawaiian and do pineapple.
Just my thought on it.

Yea I've read that people have used apples and stuff, I've smoked turkey befores and stuffed them with apples and oranges to help keep them moist and it worked out well. If I do it in the crock pot, which I'd like to so I don't have to tend to it, I've ready a lot people add potatoes, carrots and mixture of beer. The thing I don't really see, is how much. Do you fill the pot up to the top, only a bit etc. But I'm thinking some small red potatoes, carrots, a quartered onion, apples would be a good addition for a sweet side like you said.

True. When we crock pot a roast we do about 1/2 to 3/4 pot full liquid.

Well I've never fine pork so I'm not sure how I would roll with that. When we do a beef roast we generally use beef broth and water.

Bud went to shit when they went to full rice production. They don't even bother to be selective about what rice they use.
