I don't have my Explorer handy at the moment, could some one measure these for me?
I'm thinking about replacing mine with these, which measure 5x7 inches:

I don't have a 1st gen, but wouldn't it be cheaper to just get some a/m OE style lamps?

I was looking for quality light output, not cheapness.

Yea, but you can replace them get some decent OE knock offs and mount up some of sweet LED's that David has. Cheaper alternative and probably brighter as well.

I plan on mounting those as well, but these actually have high beam/low beam capabilities.

But after seeing the brightness of those LED's, would you honestly need it on trails, which is all I assume you need the high beams for as it's not a daily driver. So I bring the cost effectiveness back up again.

I don't like limits. I want it to be able to do anything I want with it. You never know what might come up.
