A guy I know from SHR has been into this lately. Here is my shameless attempt at getting him to come by and enlighten us. Haha.
From what I understand, you have a limited budget including cost of vehicle, that must meet up to certain requirements, then you race it. That is the extent of my knowledge.

Lemon's racing is a BLAST!!!! I could talk for hours about racing and what a blast it is. Here are a couple of video clips from my driving sessions about a month ago at MSR Houston:

That looks like one of those Rugged Radio setups in the cab. How do you like it? Is it viable for general offroading, or is it pretty much a race application thing?
Are you using a GoPro?
What is the basic premise, is there a budgetary limit?
Is it always on a paved surface?

Hmm this does look fun. Randall, we should go halves and build one.

Nice. It does sound like it would be pretty fun. Is the Cherokee your first attempt?
That bumper that I picked up for you - was it for this project, or something else?

OK this definitely has peaked my interest, specially since it's team based.

Ok, cool. I'd be interested in more information on the actual build you did, as well.
As a 2 car team, would both be driven in the same race, assisting eachother ala Nascar, or just as separate entries or perhaps different races?

I would be up for this if we got a second gen explorer sport with a v8 conversion going...light weight, lower it down a bit, upgrade the shocks/roll bars, got the interior, and just GO!

Hmmm. Might need to read the rules and see if motor swaps are allowed.

The way I see it is if I am buying the vehicle and paying 100% for it, then I get to say what kind of vehicle it is
If one of yall are going to buy it, then feel free to choose whatever your heart desires
