The last explorer with the TTB setup was the 94. You could do it to a later one, but would seem to be way too much trouble.

Well how else would you get more flex out of a 4th gen? Shoot I can only get a few inches of lift before shit starts to break.

Body lift doesn't do much though....

It lifts your body. Thus bigger tires.

Bigger tires with a body lift only tear things up.

Isn't that the point?
I would like 35s, put until I re-gear I can't really go past 31s.
I think those that have put bigger on 4th gens changed out the gears to 4.10+.

The thing about body lifts, is that they do not increase the capabilities of your vehicle, like a suspension lift does. All it does is make room for larger tires, which most stock running gear is not intended to handle. You would still have the stock suspension travel, for example. For 35's, I'd recommend 4.56 or 4.88 gears.

True. Suspension is a SOB though. I do want to at least level out my Explorer. I think Truxx's makes shock spacers.

Shock spacers are even more useless than body lifts. Just get longer shocks.

Well Rancho has one out there. Also I know Ronin found a way to slap a pair of Foxs on his.

Sounds like mike needs to just get an off road rig to mod instead if his daily, and yes I'm aware if the horse farm or whatever, lot cheaper to get an older vehicle to play with off road than horses and they all work the same. They both go in the dirt.

Nah my 4th gen will stay a daily driver. I am just interested in what y'all think. I might slap some Rancho RX5000s on there but that would be it.
My trail rig will be a 2001-2003 sport or sport trac.
