Here is the quote I received from Grapevine Ford on the part's cost to fix my capless fuel inlet. I think I will remove the neck this week to see if there is not some way I can fix the inlet without buying a whole new setup.

Which vehicle is this on? Are you saying that the inlet hose is currently unable to accept the cap?

This is for the 2010 Explorer. It is a capless system. There is a little flap on the inside that keeps a vacuum for the EVAP. That flap has failed and has left me with a CEL for 2 months now. I've been lazy with fixing it, but the other day the flap moved in a way that would not allow me to add gas. I finally got it to work, but only after pushing it back in.

Must be just out of warranty, then?

Ya it is. I also have a electrical problem in the front end of the vehicle. That is a low priority though since it only effects the cabin lights.

Negative. No BMWs. I've heard way to many horror stories.

Try owning an Audi, and not loving it.

So after buying the part I pulled the part I needed from the whole neck harness. I figured it would be easier then dropping the tank to install the whole dang thing. I transplanted the part I needed to. Unfortunately, I made a trip down to Lampasas and I got another CEL. This time it is a small EVAP leak. I'm not 100% sure where it is. Hopefully, i do not have to change the whole neck out.
