Supporting the off-road world leads to good things

Postby KF5ZXT » Tue Sep 03, 2013 12:24 pm

Supporting the off-road world leads to good things, in addition to just keeping our trails open.

I recently bought a bunch of raffle tickets for the Rubicon Trail Foundation for their fundraising event Cantina on the Con. You may have noticed Parker and I sharing the event on Facebook, which led to me winning a Cantina on the Con T-Shirt.

Thank you to ALL that supported the raffle and in turn the Rubicon Trail! It was the biggest to date with 320 Items given away! There are 7 pages, sorted by First Name.

Those that did not pick up their prizes on Sunday at the Event:
If you are local, you will be receiving a phone call or email with the location of where you can pick up your prize next week.
If you are clearly not local, your prize will be shipped out next week. Look for it to hit your doorstep in the ...next couple weeks.
We appreciate your patience on this, we are all volunteers and need to finish getting your address information attached to your prizes after regular work hours.

The winner of the Toyota Truck was Mike F, from Georgetown, CA and was PRESENT to win the truck...it was awesome!

Tell a Friend...Show a Friend...Post the PIctures of your Prize on our page! Thank the vendor that supplied the product....See More

My raffle tickets went towards winning a Falken gift bag kit, containing a "Falkon backpack/towel/hat/liscence plate/water bottle/lanyard/keychain", and also a 50" LED light bar and harness that was donated from Side Tracked Offroad.

Looking at their site, it looks likely to be the Tracker 50" Dual Row Light Bar (288w) - $500

. 96 3w CREE LEDs
. Raw Lumen: 21120
. Operating Voltage: 10-30 DC
. Waterproof rate: IP 67

. Color Temperature: 6000K
. Housing: Diecast aluminum
. Lens material: Poly Carbonate (Lexan)

Now I just need to get some brackets made. :D

I do like that light bar, but think it might look goofy on the top of the trac. I definitely want to get some of the small square ones to use as fogs, and have installed in my mythical new front bumper lol.

Tim, post up the listing, or is it too old now to show up? Got a picture?

I don't like that location on top of the hood. Will it fit in the grill under the Ford oval is you make some cuts? That would look pretty sweet there.

On a side note, don't leave that on too long, or your neighbor will be buy to file a complaint.

Lol. I'm not leaving it there, I just put it there for size comparison. It will not fit where you're saying, as it is wider than the grill. Look at the lines on the hood and where they line up with the headlights for reference.

Yeah, I'm going to put it up near the top of the windshield, but even in height with the roofline.
