New tow rig

Two weeks ago I sold my F250 and yesterday I took delivery of my new tow rig. My goal in selling the Ford was to pay off the loan and have enough left over to pay cash for another tow rig. After a bit of searching and wasted time looking at some real turds, I found this. Regular cab, 2wd , diesel, 5 speed, 150K, runs awsome, looks really good for a 10 year old truck.

I am still adjusting to the smaller size of the dodge, but it sure is much easier to park. The 5 speed really lets you feel the torque of the diesel much more than an auto. I'll give you a tow report in a few weeks after we run again here.

Sweet! That's pretty much the vehicle that I've been looking for. I'd rather have a short bed/extended cab, and an auto, but you know me

That a pretty good looking truck. How much did she set you back. Looks nice and clean.

It was about 8ish. It is very clean. It was a female owned, highway commuter truck. Let the bombs begin

What bombs? Sounds like a good decision.

I know you like Ford, but you yourself said the F250 didn't get good gas mileage. And that's not the first time I've heard that about F250's. It's hard to find someone to talk bad about the Dodge Cummins Diesels.

The first tank of fuel through it got 16.5 mpg of around town and a 90+ mph freeway run to Tucson and back.

I'm going to hold out and put the full Banks Power Pack on it. It adds 125hp and 300+lb-ft of torque. I'll also need a new clutch to help hold the power. I want it to make safe reliable power that won't destroy the motor or make it run too hot towing the trailer. I'm hooking up the brake controller this weekend and will be doing a test tow of the empty trailer. Loaded will have to wait for the next trip I go on.
