It's not too hard to just run a wire into the fuse box under the dash. But it's not like this must happen, just a luxury/convenience item.

The hand helds may or may not work. They are designed for short range, how short, I have no idea.

I can possibly bring my Ram to the move. Since its a long bed it should be able to hold a few things and I can put the camper on the back so that it would protect whatever goes in there. I can be up there on 4/26 if needed, I still have a few vacation days left. :)

5.2l v8, class iv hitch and with it being a long bed I can tow up to 5500lbs.

I just double checked that and found out the Ram's max is 8000lbs according to the owners manual.
