What rate coils did you get?

The coils that I got for my coilovers are 250/350. Granted, I haven't put those in yet. However, I got that rate because Justin's truck has that spring rate, and I like it's performance.

I can't seem to find the spec on the coils that are on mine now, but they are nice and flexy (<--- no help to you whatsoever).

I would expect that your vehicle is nearly the same weight as mine (probably a bit less though). Do you plan on adding things like a winch or aftermarket (or custom fabbed) bumper? If so, you'll want to err on the side of a heavier rate coil. The softer the rate the better ride you will have. It' probably a question best left to the Xterra board, but I would think a 300 pound rate would be good.

Wow, I see they are offered in 500, 600, 650 or 700 pound springs. Seems harsh to me.

Here's a thread that may have some info for you:

Looks like most are going with the 600 pound spring rate, with armor. If you intend to get it, then I'd get the 600 pound. Are you planning to keep the sway bars? That is another factor. You'll want a higher spring rate if you choose to ditch the sway bar.

Texas Auto Gear out in Magnolia made mine. Reasonably priced as well. You'll have to get a good look at it when your down here in a couple weeks.

So this guy I bought the stuff from is extremely hard to get in touch with and it's really starting to piss me off. I've called him about 5 times in the last wk and emailed him multiple times. My fingers are crossed that I actually get my stuff in time! Ugh
