Hey all,

I don't know if you know about my situation but I lost my job two months ago. It left me in a financial bind that is going to take more money than I have to get out of. I have had help from my parents, but several recent set backs have caused my situation to worsen considerably. I am in survival mode now as I have sold several things to make ends meet, including my gun and my camper top for the Dodge. I am also going to have to break the lease on my apartment and sell both Red Flyer II and the Dodge. This will provide a temporary flow of cash till I can secure a job. In the mean time I will have to use part of the proceeds to get me into a more fuel efficient vehicle as both of the Explorer and the Dodge are not exactly fuel sippers and I am having to look north of downtown Houston for any jobs.

I am really sorry to have sell the Flyer as I was just getting to know her and finally getting the fuel problem fixed for good. I am going to miss her greatly as I had great plans and dreams for her. If you know of anybody who would be interested in the Flyer or the Dodge, please let me know.

I am not looking for hand outs, but just asking if you will spread the word that both these vehicles are up for sale.

Dan, to be honest, I understand you're under the gun for money, but selling stuff that actually works and can be useful down the road (once you get over this hump) is not the way to go. Gotta just stretch it out as best you can, suck it up and get a part time job if you can till you find something else and no shame in leaning on your family ( I know you probably have been and I'm sure they're happy to do it). Keep your chin up and good luck. If I do hear of anyone looking for something like Red I'll let you know, but my best advice is to hold on to it.

Small update if anybody is interested.

I have cut the apartment, God knows how much that is going to cost me in the long run. I have moved back in with my parents again, fun fun . Anyways I am still quite lucky to have them around. Red and Thunder are still sitting out front with thunder getting that bumper replacement she needed for so long.

Right now I am consolidating my resources, what little is left, and trying to get back out into the world.

No job offers, but plenty of interviews, about 30 at last count. I have been all over the greater Houston area with nothing promising. Even part time is going the way of the dinosaur. I guess I am just at the point in my life were the lines between full time and part time are blurred and nobody wants somebody in that situation. My resume is a jumble of different jobs with little in relation to the next which makes employers a little worried that I won't have the cahones to make a job stick. Can't blame them even though its not a correct assumption.

But I can't complain, I am alive, I have a roof over my head, and food to eat. Just gotta keep plowing on till I dig something up.
