Seriously 110lbs is not a realistic weight for someone of your height. Probably 175-180lbs is your ideal weight with your height, and Randall brings up a very valid point VACATION!!! Like when we take trips for the weekend and we camp cook cause there is nothing around...

Ok, maybe i was being a little facetious, but I am wanting to hit 140 eventually. BUt I figure around moab, i should be in the 150's area. Anywho, got some ideas for shade for the trip...

Well, Ive allowed kris to temporarily lift shade by a torsion twist/shackles combo for another couple inches of lift (already running the 31's). New brakes, ball joints, sway bar links, ujoints. Also thinking of getting another limited bumper and modifying it to be Shade's 'Off-road' limited bumper, so that way I don't risk damaging his original. So maybe a couple lights, but more so trim the bottom for better clearence and weld/bolt recovery points to the frame that would be accessible with the off-road bumper, but covered up with his original bumper

How about a mini-spool for the rear? It'll be fun. Excellent traction, cheap price, lunchbox style so you can install it/take it back out without having to reset the gears. Then you could take it out and put it in the Navajo when you get to it.

Traction. A spool forces both axle shafts to operate under full throttle, and at the same speeds, at all times. You'll have some squirrely road manners (an automatic locker would be better behaved for that, such as a Powertrax No-Slip or Lock Right - but those are more expensive). If I end up building a second rig to go to this, I'll most likely go the mini spool route.

by full throttle, I mean that each axle shaft would be getting 100% of the throttle being used. Where as with a limited slip, only the axle shaft with the least resistance will get the power. Which sucks if you get a wheel in the air. No power to wheel still on the ground.

What most people call a locker is actually an automatic locker. An automatic locker does allow the axle shafts to rotate independently of each other, usually when no throttle is being applied. Useful for taking corners and the like. A spool never allows the axle shafts to move independently of each other, under any circumstances. You would get the same effect if you welded all of your spider gears together (the so called 'Lincoln Locker.')

Well, you could do it in the parking lot at the KOA. I've seen stranger things. Besides, highways are all straight driving. It'll be fun. Or, you could step your game up to a Lock Rite or Powertrax No-Slip. Both of which are 'lunchbox style.' Ask Kris, he's got a No Slip in all his favorite toys.

I Just dont see the point in paying and adding something to a vehicle that I don't plan to off road hard and just to remove it back out after i'm done driving on the dirt roads.
