I am on the hunt for an offroad rig. I am pretty set on a . So this is where I will be posting my finds and if anyone has any comments and helpful tips please let me know!

Nice. That one has a 5.8L (351ci). It's an 81, so it's got Dana 44 TTB front axle, most likely a 9" rear. You'll probably want to upgrade both to keep up with that motor. The interior isn't in great shape and is a ghastly red, and no AC (course, neither does mine). Also, the motor has been swapped in, so you might want to look at the wiring that was done on it.

Because you can get all the lift you need for these from a real suspension lift, and you can fit any size tire you want with just that and some trimming. A body lift has no practical advatange here, especially since a 5.8L already fits under the hood. Just my opinion of course (though I'm a noted body lift hater).

Then you'll be in big ghey (mud) truck land. You don't need/want to be that high. The goal is to keep your center of gravity as low as possible, while fitting in the largest tire you can. All a full size Bronco needs is a 4" lift and fender trimming to run 40's.
