Right now we are recording with HD1 @ 15 FPS resolution and the cameras are 1/4" CCD with 480 TVL.

yep, sure does. Plus it can sequence through all the cameras, has remote view capability, can backup to a usb thumb drive. It's a pretty ecent system for the price overall.

200 for the base system, 75 for the 1TB hard drive (about 14 days total recording time) and about 150 for misc accessories (4 IR illuminators, extra rca cables, 4 microphones, various connectors and couplers)

Actually, all the cameras are double ring 28 led IR. But some areas of the house need extra illumination to proerply light up the scrren at night.
