I wasn't telling you to not go that route... I just said I wouldn't attempt a 350 since I've had experience trying to get a 302 in a first gen. My opinion is it's a bad idea and with all the money in the Dana 60 and having to rework your front axle to make that 350 work isn't gonna be cheap.

That's a pretty sweet build. Nice that he took the time to go through and re-do the engine bay and clean it up, and made that 350 look damn good.

As far as timetables go, my current plan is to start the V8 swap in 2016, when my truck hits it's 25th anniversary and is thus immune to smog testing for inspection. I'll be continuing to research and collect parts/wishlists of same until then. I may very well do the SOHC swap in the interim, once I see that BC has performed one successfully.

Unfortunately, I've not been able to ascertain the truck's actual build date through the VIN, though it did have an active safety recall for the A4LD.

Just a short three years to go for this next stage. Yes, I know, I start my build threads a bit early.

Also, if I could find a similarly equipped crate 351 (or stroked 302 (347)) with fuel injection and computer included like that 350 I posted, at a similar price point, I would definitely consider it.
