The first step will be for me and Russell to prep both the donor vehicle and your truck. Also we want to make sure we can transport the things to dealer to make this go as planed

all doable. kris and i can do the majority of the prep work here. when we 'borrow' a lift, each vehicle will be ready to swap bodies.

Oh sorry, didn't mean to imply that you needed to do it, just that I needed to fit them in. Lol

The antenna I listed is a no ground plane antenna, but I'd still like to get it in the middle of about a 2' x 2' flat bit of metal. The prime candidate would obviously be the roof. Since I'm concerned about rig clearance for some reason, I'm also considering the middle of the hood. The trade off there being possible interference from the alternator as well as proximity to heat. I'd run the antenna cable under the hood insulation, but I'd still be concerned about the above issues. So, I'll probably just mount it in the middle of the roof. Time to go check out where Rick mounted his.

Actually, I'll probably install two NGP antenna mounts in the center of the roof width-wise; 1/3 from front and rear, respectively. I'll use the for the CB/SSB unit.

So I sent Randall over some weekend dates for him to figure out. Once I know what days work best I can schedule the time at BC to get some group work done.

Don't think I (and probably others) can get away with taking off on Valentine's weekend, and I hate to make you use a vacation day the following weekend. Only other option is March 15-16.

Also, what prep work needs to be done ahead of time, say someone were to show up the weekend of January 18-19, when it's 'cold as a mother?'

Ok, so the plan is to hit up KG's on the weekend of January 18-19 for prep work, then back again on February 22-23 for the body swap portion.
