Ill let kris chime in on the body stuff, but i think we have all that. we also have an idea on how to modify the drill to surround the winch a bit better. do you want chome explorer grille, black explorer grill, painted normal explorer grille, or limited grille?

also need wiring for rear winch. ill need to see the sub enclosure you want to run so i know which amp will fit inside there

I'd say get some new headlights I have stock markers and turns. I think I have at least one good headlight door but those are cheap.

Yeah, I've actually got a black one lying around as well. Can't remember which side though. The whole middle section of the limited grill would end up getting cut out, so I'm thinking black Explorer grill. What do you mean about 'an idea on how to modify the grill to surround the winch a bit better'?

How many feet of cable do you think I need for the winch?

478 AMPS?? Jesus thats a lot, even for a winch under max load....i would almost recommend running a dual battery setup with an isolator. run a second battery to the rear, then run your cable to the rear battery to the rear winch. isolator between the two batteries and presto - suffiecent amp draw and the ability to 'jump' your starter battery should it ever go dead. just an idea. if not, your looking around 2/0 wiring

2/0 is what I had figured on, as well. I've heard differing opinions on the dual battery setup. Wouldn't having the second battery in the rear still have to run a similar set of wires to the primary?

Since Yall are talking about lights and i need to lose some light. I have a set of those "hard to find" completely clear tail lights if your interested. My dad has them stashed somewhere so let me know if you want em or they can stay in where ever they are...

I'm one of those weirdos that actually likes red brake lights. Thanks though. Perhaps someone else would like them?

Now I don't mind the clear corners.... I don't particularly like orange plastic. Clear with the orange reflector don't bother me. I don't like the crystal clear, or euro style. But the clear corners on white look good

I am aware of ohm's law, but the same principal would still apply to the wire from the alternator. What gauge wire would I need, then? Also, where would the battery be mounted?

At any rate, the options are really:

1) 14 feet of 2/0 AWG wire handling 400+ amps
2) 14 feet of 4 AWG wire handling 90+ amps, plus an isolator, plus an additional deep cycle battery.

So if it's just a cost issue - seems like a wash.

Oh well - I just hopped on Amazon and jumped on this, everyone else should probably go ahead and do the same, never know when you might need some...

:shock

Radiator and 25' of 4 gauge welding wire purchased and shipped to BC address.

This is the that I was looking at. I was thinking of sticking it where the stock 4x4 switches would be, if this truck were a 4x4. :lol
