I have a lot ill be working on this coming up Sunday goal for a wheelable rig will be ready for spring fling.

I got a little backed up this weekend at bc with a camery with a trans issue and a 99 explorer with stalling and rough running issues

They bolt up but the seats are on power tracks and the power feature is gutted either I replace the tracks or figure a way to make them power

Planning on taking the pale horse up to TAG pretty soon to get the light bar halo and a couple body mounts installed.

Tossing around ideas in my head, involving a 5.0 (or why not dream big - ...) in front of a C-4, or possibly a C-5 (better torque converter, valve body, additional clutch packs) using C-4 adapters ( I don't need overdrive). C-4 bellhousing adapter would allow for bolting the C-5 to the SBF.

C-4/5 has a different output shaft than the 700r4 (28 spline vs. 27 spline), so I'd have to replace the input gear on the Atlas, or maybe custom out put shaft on trans. Drivetrain length would change, so more driveshaft mods. There is no adapter for my current transmission (60 degree 700r4) to a V8 of any kind, unfortunately, so a trans replacement would be necessary regardless. One option for replacing the input gear on the Atlas is a Blackbox-i.



Or I might just cut up the floor, install the larger 700r4, and run a 4.3 V6.

Why not get a 5.0 with a 4r70w? Easier to install and would retain ac if you want
