Well, it looks like a good possibility that we are getting a tow rig. :twisted:

I am sure that ya'll remember Debbie from Tetco. :wink

Anyway, she has a 1989 Suburban with some tranny issues. We can have it for $200.

Even better....she has 4 other vehicles that need some work done to them. :wink

Hmmm, I see a little bartering in SVO's future, what do ya'll think? :8)

I'm thinking a Beer/Paint Party :pint

I'll pre-prep the truck by removing all the trim, pre-sand and tape it all off, and buy a couple of cases of Semi Gloss Black.

And whom ever is drinking has to paint, when finished I'll get some door size Demon decals made, and one for the tailgate, with the saying:

"Eternal Damnation has something new to fear"

With vanity plates: Wicken or WCKN

And have Brandon of Tx Suntint blackout the windows (5% tint)

Too bad it's not an old Herse suburban :reaper

Anyhoo we'll see what we can work out, as far as I know the tranny is the only thing bad in it.

Well went and looked at the Suburban today, up looks just like the one in the photos except that the frontend is grey.

Someone has replaced the fenders and hood with grey ones.

The interior is imaculant, there again except the headliner is starting to sag.

It has front and rear A/C which will have to be converted to R134a freon, it will need a good scrubbing as it has been sitting for a while, it also has 3 rows of seating including a full front bench seat (who wants to ride bitch?), pwr windows and locks, cruise, tilt, and as far as I can tell from the owner it needs a transmission.

It shows 136,000 miles on the clock, 350efi with a TH700r4 overdrive tranny.

Since it was last registered in 02' everything will need to be checked over and all the fluids replaced.

This will be bought with some labor of love on a few of thier other vehicles, not free, but at least affordable in the labor pocket book.

Woo Hoo, Jeff brought the 'burban home last night with the help of the "Spreader of Death" aka Jared. :wink

The engine started right up, but the gas tank needs to be cleaned out and it got dark before Jeff could really see what all it needs to get road worthy again.

It looks nasty right now but it will get power-washed then a little handwashing after that to make him look presentable for the driveway. I will probably work on him since Jeff will be sniffing glue again this weekend making some side $$$.

I'll take some before and after pics, along with Reaper's new shoes :oops

, and post them up.

Now, names...the plan is to rattlecan him black, with a Demon stickers on the doors and possible a pentagram on the hood. :twisted:

Any suggestions?

Yup got the barge over to the house, got it to run but with 3 year old gas in the tank and prolly a gooey fuel filter and injectors she wouldn't stay running.
The fuel pump did work you could hear it, I have two more if one is needed, plus I got a fuel filter to put into it.

My neighbour Danny has a fresh rebuilt tranny in his wrecked 1989 Chevy Asshole van that he said if it's the right tranny I can have it and pay him out for it.

Insted of painting it black, I figure I'll either let Kris paint the front end like the rest of it or take it to Econo Paint in Austin and let them do a cheapy paint job in the front, and get a driver's side headlamp bucket and grille.

Really if you can look past all 3 years of dirt this will clean up nice, I did wash it and got all the barnicles off of it and it looks really good, I'll get some pics of that too, but for now here's what it looked like the day after I got her home before washing it off.
