Ok so I got a call from one of my dads friends on Saturday. Apparently his friend had gotten stuck up at the only place I know of to go to. So I said yeah I'll come pull you out. He had been stuck since the night before. I got there and saw his 84 dodge charger sunk into the colorado river up to the doors. I drive an 86 toyota sittin on 35's so I thought oh no problem. Well we tried pulling it out at first and my truck sunk almost to the bumpers so now I had a problem. I worked mine out with my hi-lift and some wood that I found on the side of the river. Does that count as stuck, because I got out on my own, but I was scared there for a while? Well anyway so we tried the same thing with his truck, and nothing happened. We tried until it got dark. Then we left. Get this some bikers up on the cliff yell down... Do you have a phone? Yeah do you think it can pull this out! Like AAA was gonna drive a quarter mile up the colorado river to pull out a truck. Well we went back this morning and grabbed some pallets that some butthead had dumped up in our spot. We used the hi-lift, put wood, and pallets under all four tires, chained it up, then it drove right out.
Well all I have to say about this experience is...
Don't go alone
Don't go underprepared
Don't try to pull something out and get yourself sunk in the sand
And maybe those people that dumped those pallets had stuck trucks in mind when they did it!
